With being online and not knowing much of what is going on students, parents, and teachers must be thinking, what is new with Minarets Leadership?

Minarets Leadership teacher Juan Ortiz said, “A lot. The Leadership team shifted to online since we are distance learning, and a lot of the focus has been on planning on the students returning in the second semester.”

While the hope is for students to return to campus next semester, they are also creating activities for distance learning. Ortiz explained, "The Leadership team have started doing things like social media campaigns and some long-term planning.”

Link Crew, an aspect of Minarets leadership, has also been reaching out to the new freshmen class and to help them the best they can adjust to high school life.

The goal for Leadership this year is for student engagement, whether its online or in-person. Leadership is planning more activities to get students involved and to show off the school spirit. Ortiz also explained what leadership would look like if school reopens, “If things come back second semester, The Leadership team are shooting for 3 dances this year, and some fun stuff at athletic events as well as lunch time activities.”
