AP testing is coming up very soon! If you are an AP student at Minarets, pay attention to these upcoming dates:

(Please note that the dates below are only AP tests that pertain to Minarets High School)

Dates for AP testing

Monday, May 6th, 2019 - U.S. Government and Politics (8:00 am)

Wednesday, May 8th, 2019- English Literature and Composition (8:00 am)

Friday, May 10th, 2019- U.S. History (8:00 am)

Monday, May 13th, 2019- Biology (8:00 am)

Tuesday, May 14th, 2019- Calculus AB and BC (8:00 am)

Wednesday, May 15th, 2019- English Language and Composition (8:00 am)

Wednesday, May 15th, 2019- Macroeconomics (12 pm)

If you are a student who will be AP testing, please prepare to miss about half of your school day. Tests normally run for around 4 hours with a few 10 minute breaks. If your test starts at 8am, you will be released at around 12 or later. If your test starts at 12pm, your test will end around 4 or later.

Be sure to get a good night's sleep the night before and eat a healthy breakfast before your test, and bring snacks and water along with you for the breaks. Also bring a lunch just in case you are not released in time to get one from the lunch line.

It is recommended that you arrive around 20 minutes before the test is set to start, because if everyone is present before 8 am, it is possible to begin testing early (which will get you released earlier). Make sure that you bring your AP Student Packet along with you (this will be given to you soon) as well as a few No. 2 pencils for testing.

While it is important to study, your brain will also need some rest. Study a few days prior to the test instead of cramming the night before. Use the night before the AP test as a breather, make sure you get to bed an hour earlier than normal so that you are well rested. If you are an AP student, chances are that you are very much qualified and prepared for the exam, so do not over-stress. Good luck to all AP students, and go mustangs!
