Victory for Minarets Cheer

Updated: May 20, 2020

Mustang Pride is never in short supply with our Minarets High School Cheer Team. While the program has gone through several evolutions over the last ten years, it has taken on a new life with the coaching expertise of Ashley Redman. Over the last two years, she has worked tirelessly to grow the program, which has been evident with the growing numbers of cheerleaders each year.

According to co-captain Cheyanne Paschell, "We have a very strong presence on campus this year with all our fundraisers, rallies, and events. With the winter season starting, we are organizing to cheer on our basketball team and work on our routines for competition season. It's really exciting!"

Most exciting of all, Minarets Cheer just returned from the JAMZ competition in Fresno, CA. They swept the competition and took First Place in their division. On top of the win, they were also awarded Superior Jumps. Now our cheer team will be moving onto Nationals in Las Vegas this upcoming February.

As junior Cheyanne Paschell told us, we are very excited for the future of our Minarets Cheer program! Go Mustangs!
