Update on Girls Basketball

Updated: May 17

by Britteny Robertson

While the Minarets student body had time off from school over Christmas break, the girls of the JV and Varsity basketball teams were busy with games and tournaments. Unfortunately, the girls were unable to secure a victory during their tournament at Parlier, but they fought til the end and walked away with some valuable lessons.

With school back in session, the JV team won their first game of the season last night against Fowler. Coach Mary Pearson was very excited and happy and as a coach that they won their first game at the beginning of the season.

Overall, both teams have been doing well with how their playing and being involved as a team for their games; they communicate with one another so it makes it easier to play the game if there's strong communication.

Be sure to come out and support our Girls Basketball teams!
