The recent Minarets Media Night on Nov 1 was a resounding success, with at least 30 attendees. All proceeds from the event went to Minarets' Esports team, the Cavalry. Media teacher and Esports General Manager Juan Ortiz said, “We definitely raised a good amount of money. We were hoping to basically finish off some PCs and get them so that our guys could play on them while they’re at school. We were definitely able to accomplish that.” This is good for the team, as previously they had to work over unreliable home connections.

The Cavalry’s Overwatch team just finished their first playoff game on November 20, unfortunately losing 0-3. You may watch the replay, and any future live games on their Twitch channel at the following link:

There are more Media Nights planned for as-of-yet undetermined future dates. Be sure to show support for the team in the live chat!
