Our Girls Soccer team has been working hard this season and their season is now over. Tuesday, Feb. 4 was their last home game as well as their Senior Night. Junior Alice Cummings discussed the season, “Overall the season went better than expected. There were a lot of injuries but the younger players really stepped up.” According to Maxpreps.com, Varsity Girls Soccer won five games, lost six, and tied three. Junior Claire Corippo explained, “I think this season could have been better if we weren’t missing so many girls from injuries, but that couldn’t have changed.”
As for next season, many players are planning to return. Junior Alice Cummings explained her reasoning,“I am going to play next year and I am excited to finish my high school soccer with the girls that are going to continue playing. I’m excited to have a season with all the girls who have been previously injured and were no longer able to play the remainder of this season.”
