Football Goes Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

Pink filled the Minarets High School stadium on Oct. 4, 2019 for the football game against Parlier. It was the annual pink out game so everyone, including players, cheerleaders, and fans wore pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month. Leadership mades signs that fill the stands and the Cheer team made signs for those who had breast cancer or have breast cancer.

For the JV Football team, it was their first victory of the season with the final score being 32-0. The Varsity Team was also victorious with a score of 34-32. Our boys have been working well as a team as they improve and learn from one another.

Even though both teams recently lost against Caruthers, they are still working working hard and ready for their next away game against Orosi this Friday. The players show passion and love for the sport knowing they are out there to play their hearts out and playing as a team.

Football only has a few more games left so we hope to see a crowd and hope to see people cheering for our Minarets Football team.
