Feature: Journeys of the FFA Vegetarian

The FFA Vegetarian can be found at the Reedley Middle College Field Day sustaining themselves on three tortillas and a lemon slice- salsa if they’re feeling spicy!

Some competitions offer donuts in the morning, and the FFA Vegetarian could possibly be found sneaking back during lunch for one more. Truly, a criminal in the making.

A favorite of the FFA Vegetarian is the classic sandwich without the sandwich- toasted bread drenched in Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce.

A classic meal for the FFA Vegetarian is a bag of chips and a cookie!

Sometimes there is a veggie sandwich- but you can’t have a veggie sandwich without a copious amount of pickles.

If all else fails for the FFA Vegetarian there is the trusty go-to- the granola bar brought from home.

All this being said, the FFA is an organization open to anybody, and it offers opportunities that can’t be found elsewhere. More than that, it welcomes new perspectives and is dedicated to paving a pathway for the younger generation to become strong, intelligent leaders of the future. One’s lifestyle choices and dietary restrictions are welcome in the FFA and help create individuals with diverse agricultural backgrounds needed to preserve American agriculture.
