An End to a Four-Year Experience: Senior Rally

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

Many people remember coming to school on the first day of school of their freshman year and attending a big, welcoming rally by our Minarets Mustangs! From then on, we’ve used the gym for physical activity, performances, sports, games, and so much more over the course of four years. The Senior Rally allows graduating seniors to go full circle by having a final rally to reminisce, celebrate, and say goodbye to the people who’ve made a positive impact.

Students gathered together to celebrate the seniors on March 24 in the gym where freshman, sophomores, and juniors sat in their regular spots. Following tradition, each class moved over to another section of the gym where they will be sitting next year as sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Once settled in their new spots, students began to cheer loudly as this year's seniors walked into the room into the center of the gym for their final time.

Senior class was front and center for their last rally at Minarets.

With regular tradition of senior rallies, seniors got to play guessing games including Guess the Baby and Guess the Tweet. In the first game, senior's baby pictures were shown as the crowd awed and tried to guess who was in the picture. The second game showed some odd and embarrassing tweets from years ago that seniors tweeted and again guessed who sent it.

Another tradition was the Senior Trailer, a sneak peek into the senior video that will be shown at graduation. This year's video was edited by Josiah Freeland, where seniors talked about their experience at Minarets, what they loved, and what they expect the future to hold for them. These videos were taken during SAP presentation week and shown on the big screen as students cheered them on.

It was a memorable rally as principal Daniel Ching told the seniors goodbye and reminded them to continue to go big, go pro, and go now!

The class of 2019 will be graduating on June 5 at 7:30pm.
