Prom is a lasting memory in people's hearts it’s when dancing with friends is the only worry. This year prom took place on Saturday April 6th , 2019 at the 625 Classic Catering in Clovis. This year there was no theme but there were color schemes of black, white, pink and corral. There were black sheer drapes to line the inside of the building with lights behind to accentuate a magically night. Marcus Centell, a senior, talked about his surprise walking into prom “My first impression walking into prom I was thinking at first that I wasn’t gonna like it but I did.The decorations were nice and so was the photo booth.”

There was much work to be done that morning as Leadership helped prep for prom but they weren't the only ones working. There were student working hard to look their best. From dresses, ties, and high heels there are a lots of preparations that go into a night of dressing to impress. Junior Mackenzie Camacho mentioned all the nerves going into Prom Night “ I haven’t been to prom before and it was really fancy. I spent the whole day doing my hair and then getting my dress pressed and ready.”

Why is prom important? According to Mackenzie Camacho “Everyone looks forward to prom when they are little hoping it is like High School Musical”. Celebrating a time to just dance and loosen up with your friends outside of school makes for a perfect night. This year’s prom was a success and a special thanks to our Minarets Leadership for their efforts in designing the prom venue!
