Mustang Stampede: 8th Graders Come to Minarets!

Future Mustangs are on their way to Minarets and made their first introduction on March 1, 2019! Hillside, Spring Valley, North Fork, a few from Rivergold, and some homeschooled students paid a visit to our school for their first visit of Minarets.

Throughout the day, these future Mustangs were entertained by a performance from the Minarets Drumline, enjoyed a skit put on by Minarets Drama, and heard the Minarets FFA students rehearse the creed. They were also provided with a tour of the campus from our Minarets Leadership students.

Minarets Leadership put on a rally for the entire student body and the visiting eighth graders, which consisted of a giant soccer game, a huge tug of war game, and a sumo match between seniors Austin Boomer and Zack Redman.

After the rally, there was a student panel that answered any questions that the students had. Leadership took time out of their day to get to know the eighth graders and eat lunch with them.

Senior Nina Sanguinetti, one of the tour guides, stated that “there was a girl who had little to no interest in Minarets. But by the end of the tour, she had seen multiple things that she was became interested in and decided she wanted to go to Minarets!”

Minarets can’t wait to welcome all of the new freshman and show them what Minarets is all about!

Go big, Go pro, Go now! GO MUSTANGS!!
