Wrapping Presents For Puerto Rico

Updated: May 21, 2020

The Puerto Rico Community Day project was definitely a success! A small but hard working group of students joined Señora UP today for some gift wrapping and card making for students at a Puerto Rican school who were affected by the hurricane that hit their country.

School supplies, toys, stuffed animals, and hygiene products were packaged and wrapped by students to be sent off as gifts. The students wrapped up their project by recording a video singing “Felíz Navidad” together.

This project was a success because it was done with lots of love and heart, and also because it helped the students organizing the event for their SLE.

“I’m really happy we got to do this project.” Says SLE coordinator Willow Sanchez. “It’s a great way to give back.”

Community Day 2018 was one to cherish and remember, especially with Señora UP’s group of students. Giving back has never felt so fun!
