Community Day FAQ

The Minarets 3rd Annual Community Day is quickly approaching! On December 20, students will participate in community service projects across campus with their favorite teachers and peers. While Community Day is a fairly new event to the Minarets campus, there are normally quite a few questions swarming around the event. This year at Minarets Press, we have conducted several Frequently Asked Questions about the Community Day.

Q- What day does Community Day take place on?

A- Community Day will take place on Thursday, December 20, 2018.

Q- Does Community Day take place on campus?

A- Community Day projects vary per teacher, but most take place on campus. There are limited projects in which students will leave campus.

Q- What kinds of projects will take place this year for Community Day?

A- Many projects will be taking place including making cards for the homeless with teacher Kaitlin Morgan, cleanup in North Fork with teacher Bob Kelly, packages for Puerto Rico with teacher Karen UP, and bus transformation with teacher Juan Ortiz.

Q- Why did Community Day start?

A- Here at Minarets, we are very focused on our community and giving back. This event is the perfect opportunity to do so and to involve all of the students.

Q- How does Community Day affect the school schedule?

A- Students will not attend class on Community Day and will report to their chosen class activity all day. School also gets out at 2:36 the day of Community Day.
