Showcase night here at Minarets High School was a great success; parents and family came from all over to see the hard work and dedication of our students through their presentation. For the Minarets Music Department, spectators gathered to watch students from both Singer-Songwriter and Showband perform their pieces with the assistance of the Sound and Lighting Class (SLED).
First to perform were the students of the Singer-Songwriter class and each student got on stage in front of the Media Lounge and performed a few songs of their own. For a some, this was their first time performance and they said it was a great opportunity for them. Overall the Singer-Songwriter class demonstrated their talent beautifully and many of us are excited to see more from them in the future!
Next, Showband performed songs that they have been practicing for other events, including the Tesoro Viejo Grand Opening in Madera last Saturday. Parents were very excited and proud to see the talent that was played through songs like Hit Me With Your Best Shot, Ain't No Mountain High Enough, and other favorite additions.
