10th Annual Spring FFA Banquet

Updated: May 20, 2020

How can you “Insure Your Future With the FFA?” On May 29th FFA members, family, friends, and alumni gathered to watch as the Minarets FFA officer and executive team presented the 10th annual banquet and helped members learn how to insure their futures in FFA and agriculture. Special this year was the invitation of alumni members that were apart of the very first class, past state and national judging team winners, past involved FFA members, and past presidents. They were recognized and gifted as they reflected on their years in the blue jacket.

We heard from the Ag teachers as they recognized their current CDE teams for the year and presented a few awards to outstanding members for the year. Mr. Chapman presented senior Quinn Fenton with the Golden Hammer award for excellence in his Ag Mechanics classes, Mrs. Mattes presented sophomore Colby Jobinger with the FFA Pride award and Ms. Sweet announced juniors Dilan Basila and Natalie Anselmo for the Workhorse Award. The top 5 in each class was presented and the Top 20 overall students were awarded and invited on a secret trip for their hard work in the FFA. Members were also recognized for their outstanding SAE projects and given proficiency awards in each area.

And finally, the news that was by far the most anticipated, the announcement of the 2018-2019 Chapter Officer Team! After going through an application and interview process, student voting, grade checks, recommendations, and nomination videos the 10 individuals that will be serving next year are:

Justin Bowe- Chaplin

Jake Dowell- Parliamentarian

Lilly Kier- Historian

Garrett Bowe- Sentinel

Katie Linderholm- Reporter

Colby Jobinger- Treasurer

Reiley Stenberg- Secretary

Natalie Anselmo- 2nd Vice President

Dilan Basila- 1st Vice President

Michael Rezendes- President.

We wish the new team well as they prepare for the next year. Overall it was a great night full of old memories, awards, and friends. We are so proud of Minarets FFA as they continue to thrive. Mark your calendars because next year will be just as great!
