In the past week the Minarets Boys Varsity Basketball Team has played 3 games, which was a mixture of chaos and fun. The first game was being against our rival the Yosemite High School Badgers. The first half the Mustangs kept the score close with the Badgers, but eventually the Badgers inched their way up with a lead, resulting in a loss for Minarets.
The next game played that week was against the Kerman Lions. This game was hard fought and one of the best played games by Minarets. Besides the score (80-40) the Mustangs played phenomenal basketball. The first quarter the Mustangs kept up with the Lions, but they jumped the score and took the Mustangs by surprise. Personally, as a member of the boys Varsity Basketball team, I was not disappointed with our play and looked at the situation as a stepping stone.
The 3rd and final game was against the Tranquility Tigers. This game was wonderful from the start. With the game being a home game, the student section was cheering their hearts out. The Mustangs played so hard and won 3 out of the 4 quarters played. The game came down to a nail biter but in the end, the Mustangs came out victorious.
