FFA Trap Shot

Updated: May 20, 2020

By Dilan Basila and Michael Rezendes

On October 7th Minarets FFA held the second annual Sporting Clay Shoot. At this event, we are proud to say that we had about 70 people sign up and compete. We had 3 categories which were The Female, The Male, and The Junior categories. We also had teams compete for team prizes as well. Not only did we have adults compete, but we had some of our very own Minarets FFA members competing as well.

We had the opportunity to interview junior Katie Linderholm and she had some exciting words for us "What a blast! It was such a wonderful event, it was a lot of fun getting to know new people! And I enjoyed being able to compete with competitive competitors."

After the competition we served our contestants a tri-tip lunch, and had a raffle. With this fundraiser, it is estimated that our FFA program made around $1600-$1800. This will help us with travel costs to field days and future events.

We would like to thank everybody who participated and thank you to everyone who helped put this event on!
