Film appreciation is a newly developed class here at Minarets and its a a major success! From studying movie concepts to observing movie classics, film appreciation covers it all. As a student enrolled in this class, I personally have to say it is my favorite class that I've taken during my three years at Minarets. Some of the movies we have watched include Jurassic Park and it's awesome animatronics, Indiana Jones and its unique take on a hero's journey and many more. Ms. Potigian is a wonderful teacher for this class; being a movie connoisseur herself, she leads the students through the movies with a different point of view than most would have watching the movies on their own.
One of the things in this class that really stands out is how to read and review movie ratings. Before taking this class, I never really looked at ratings and was often disappointed after walking out of the theatre doors. Since being in this class, walking out of a theatre disappointed is a rare phenomenon.
For anyone wanting to take a extremely fun and educating class, then film appreciation is a class for you. GO MUSTANGS!
