What is the SAP?

Updated: Sep 27, 2020

The Senior Advancement Presentation (also referred to as the “SAP") is still in its infancy at Minarets. This will be the second year in which seniors will have to prove they are ready for graduation. If seniors pass, they will be considered as a candidate for graduation on June 5th.

This presentation is comprised of four parts: a formal presentation, portfolio presentation, résumé and cover letter, and an interview. Not only will these elements be used to determine graduation eligibility, but they will also be entered as a graded assignment in the senior economics and government classes.

Since this presentation determines one’s candidacy status a graduate, professionalism in every category is essential. Students are proving why they should graduate. This process very much resembles a job interview. For instance, seniors will be asked how their high school experience has helped shape their future.

The keys to success for the Senior Advancement Presentation are professionalism and preparedness. Seniors need to be confident in their presentations and responses. It is important to tie everything together to show how they have acted out the Minarets 6 C’s.

The SAPs will be held April 30 through May 2.
